Crawlers are a new upcoming British band formed in 2018 who have had incredible luck with their single “come over again”. This song blew up on Tiktok. There is currently has 99.8k videos using their song on the popular social media platform. Many people were using the song for comfort or to express issues they’ve faced with things such as their sexuality or gender. Their music style is alternative rock and uses bass, drums and guitar as well and having a lead singer Holly Minto.
I was a huge fan of “come over again” as well as their newest single “I can’t drive” so I decided to see them perform live in April 2022. The venue was the Camden assembly in London which I really liked. It’s in a great location very accessible by tube and has a capacity of around five hundred people making it a very close and intimate show which I always love.
As the band don’t have many songs out their setlist was fairly short but of course that can’t be helped and they did play some new songs. Me and my friend began stood as the side of the audience and the security kept making us stand away from the wall which I didn’t understand until the show began and Holly came running down the side from the back of the room and got up onto the stage. This was a great surprise making the concert again feel very close and homely where you are always near the band members.
The band members are extremely entertaining and great at creating a hyped atmosphere. Furthermore, they are greatly talented and I adore the lead singer Hollys voice. During the concert someone at the front also got proposed too showing how much this bands music already means to people.
The band are having immense success and have announced a second UK tour and an American tour this year. Too add to that, they are playing multiple festivals and are touring with My chemical romance as their support act. I would 100% recommended listening to Crawlers and going to see them perform live.
